Words from Our Alumni

Yin-Chia Chiang, Master Class of 2013

NSYSU’s Institute of Public Affairs Management has a wealth of management school exchange resources, where you can learn urban planning, community building, gender education, environmental education, and other subjects from many public sector experts. This is different from more commonly known management schools. I am very grateful and fortunate to have attended the Institute of Public Affairs Management, which has allowed me to look at things from a deeper perspective, not only in terms of business management, but also to try to understand the social system and the impact of human behavior, and to think about what I can contribute to society.

I encourage students to find their own interests and expertise during this stage of their Master studies, and to make full use of these two years to develop themselves, as well as to develop the three major skills of problem identification, problem solving, and communication. When I was in grad school, I was very interested in studying abroad, learning languages and meeting people from different cultures, so I decided to apply for a dual degree exchange program in my master's degree. I was fortunate enough to get a school scholarship and to study abroad. I think new students should not only pursue academic performance, but also take the initiative to participate in extracurricular activities, which can add points to their resumes.
